About the Recipe
Who doesn't love fresh, warm donuts on a Sunday morning? I know my family does! These come together in just 30 minutes. They have a different texture than traditional fried donuts, but they're healthier and my family likes them better!

Ingredients
2 C flour
1/4 C sugar
1/4 C brown sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 C buttermilk
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350
Whisk together all dry ingredients
Whisk together all wet ingredients
Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined. Don't overmix!
Pipe batter into donut pan or silicone mold
Bake 10-12 minutes and cool on wire racks
Once cool, brush with melted butter and dip in cinnamon sugar
Note: If you don't have buttermilk, you can mix a couple squeezes of lemon juice into a cup of whole milk and let it sit for a few minutes before using!
Also: If you don't have piping bags, just put the batter into a ziploc bag and snip the corner. Same thing!
